DIXIE is an actively involved member in the following trade and advocacy associations:

  • National Association for Surface Finishers

  • Precision Metalforming Association

  • National Association of Manufacturers

  • Southeastern Fastener Association

  • Georgia Association of Manufacturers

Membership in these organizations gives DIXIE an opportunity to voice concerns on public policy and legislative issues, both on the state and national level, that can affect the cost of operating our business. These issues also affect our customer base and their success or sustainability. The issues are OSHA, EPA, Health Care, Tort, Energy Cost, Taxes and Unfair Trade Practices.

DIXIE is representing the surface finishing industry and its manufacturing customer base on these important issues. If we do not have manufacturers in America there will not be a need for the surface finishing industry.

DIXIE’s Vice President, Jim Jones, makes annual trips to Washington, DC in support of NASF initiatives. Located in Washington DC, NASF represents the interests of businesses, technologists and professionals in the surface coatings industry. Its highly regarded programs and activities are informed by NASF’s mission to:

  • Advance an environmentally and economically sustainable future for the finishing industry

  • Promote the vital role of surface technology in the global manufacturing value chain

DIXIE’s Vice President Jim Jones testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee on the trickle-down effect that the automotive industry has on other sectors of the manufacturing economy.
